TONICITY
Hypertonic = higher concentration of solute outside the cell, so all the water molecules leave the inside of the cell for the outside = FLACCID
Hypotonic = lower concentration of solute outside the cell, so all the water from the outside diffuses into the cell = TURGID
Isotonic = When equilibrium is reached; equal proportion number of water to solute in both inside and outside the cell
