Caves:
● Several metres high at entrance
● Widest part is at entrance
● Taper a long way back
● Blow hole may form in the roof of cave
towards the back → pressure from waves will
push water up the hole
Sea arches:
● Unsupported top of arch
● Wave-cut notches at base → wide at the
base
● Water goes through gap
● Arch is an extension of headland
Stacks:
● Detached blocks/pillars of rock
● May be pinnacle shaped
● Several metres high
● Hard rock
● Wave-cut notches at base
Stumps:
● Bases of collapsed stacks
● Can only be seen at low tide
● Submerged by water
